Current site behavior
The public site does not create an account, process a payment, collect an inquiry, or transmit the choice you make in the public Freight Decision Snapshot. Individual and team availability pages contain no inquiry form.
The newsletter form collects an email address, optional first name, explicit consent, and the limited visit attribution described below. No Alpha learner, course user, employee, legacy contact, personal contact, or existing list is subscribed automatically.
Newsletter delivery
Newsletter requests pass through a server-side Freight Decision Lab endpoint to MailerLite. MailerLite receives the email address, optional first name, and assignment to The Freight Decision group. New, unconfirmed, and eligible resubscribing addresses remain unconfirmed until the recipient uses the confirmation link sent by MailerLite.
The API credential remains server-side. The request IP may be held briefly in an in-memory rate limit and may appear in routine hosting security logs; it is not included in the MailerLite subscriber payload. MailerLite’s own retention, suppression, and unsubscribe records apply to newsletter delivery.
Traffic attribution and site events
If a visit includes campaign parameters, the site may keep source, medium, campaign, content, and term values in session storage so newsletter signup can retain the context of that visit. Session storage is limited to the browser tab session. The site also prepares the landing path and the referring site’s origin. Those values are accepted only in the approved signup request and are not added to the MailerLite subscriber profile without a separately reviewed field mapping.
The site prepares privacy-limited event signals for starting and completing the public Decision Snapshot and a successful newsletter signup. The source code does not send those signals to an analytics account unless a separately reviewed adapter is configured.
Server and hosting records
A hosting provider may create routine request, security, and aggregate traffic records, such as an IP address, browser information, requested URL, status code, and request time. Those records are controlled by the production hosting configuration.
Newsletter expectations
A successful request begins a confirmation step rather than silently adding an address as an active subscriber. Every issue will include an unsubscribe method. Suppressed, bounced, or abuse-flagged addresses are not bypassed by this site.
Existing learners
The company site is separate from the learner environment. Existing learners should use their authorized access route. This notice does not replace the participation or privacy information provided with learner access.
Before collection expands
This notice will be updated before Freight Decision Lab enables a new inquiry destination, analytics service, payment flow, account, or other collection. The update will identify the verified contact channel, data purpose, retention approach, service providers, and applicable choices.
Questions
A monitored public privacy contact will be added with the public contact route. Newsletter and inquiry data remain separate from the learner environment.
